Fred D. Jung, RN, PhD., is the founder of Blue Ridge ElderCare Advisors, LLC and is a Registered Nurse with a Doctorate in Adult Health. Fred began his career in long-term care and has worked as a hospital nurse, clinical specialist, nursing school faculty, quality director, and as an Administrator at UVA Medical Center. He has expert knowledge and experience in life care planning, geriatrics, disease management, infection control, end-of-life care, and healthcare insurance & associated legal and financial challenges. He now focuses on improving the quality and effectiveness of care for older adults in Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.
Kate Daniels, Associate, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts & Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a veteran in the hospice world with fourteen years of experience in guiding seniors and decision makers in the art and science of hospice and life care decisions. Helping families since 2009, Kate’s passion is advising seniors and caregivers on our complex healthcare system and navigating advance care conversations. She also supports seniors and families through banking, investment and financial services education and utilization.
